Marblestone
Marblestone is a recycled material, consisting of over 95% recycled marble that has been crushed, pressed, heated, and bonded with a very small amount of resin. It is a green material, which helps our environment and is not a petroleum rich material such as cultured marble. Unlike natural marble, which is porous, Marblestone is less pervious to moisture, which can cause mildew. Marblestone is also more resistant to scratches and stains than quarried or cultured marble and does not require special cleaning or polishing.
Marblestone can be used in a variety of areas, from bathroom counters, shower walls and floors to tabletops and wainscoting. Beauty and affordability make Marblestone the perfect choice for your next project. Tuo Sogno has the full line of Marblestone products on display.
Vetrazzo
Vetrazzo was invented in 1996 in Berkeley. It is a line of exquisite surface materials crafted from recycled glass and used anywhere natural stone is used; countertops, tabletops, architectural cladding and more. Vetrazzo surfaces offer a stunning and lively signature for residential or commercial projects.
Vetrazzo is composed of a patented, proprietary formula that combines recycled glass with a binder of cement, additives, pigments and other recycled materials. With over 85% recycled glass content, Vetrazzo allows homeowners, architects, designers, and builders to exhibit both their style and their respect for the earth and environment. Their largest source of glass is the neighborhood curbside recycling programs. Other glass comes from post-industrial usage, windows, drinking glasses, stemware, automotive glass, stained glass, laboratory glass and other unusual sources such as decommissioned traffic light lenses. “A story in every surface”
